Psalm 115 Personalized from TPT
“Lord God, we glorify Your name today! Yes, let Your name alone be glorified, and never ours. For You are the one who loves us passionately, and You are forever faithful and true and we are fortunate to be Your children.
Why should we give the unbelievers the opportunity to mock us, saying, “Where is this God of yours?” We know You rule from the heavens, and You take delight in all that You’ve done. So we will take every opportunity to showcase Your love and grace by witnessing to this world Your glory that resides within us.
The unbelievers worship what they make— their wealth and their work. They idolize what they own and what they make with their hands, but those things can’t talk to them or answer their prayers or guide them through this present darkness. Their possessions will never satisfy that longing to be loved and to give You praise that You’ve placed inside each of us. Their futile faith in dead idols and dead works can never bring life or meaning to their souls.
Blind men can only create blind things. Those who cannot hear You, can only create a mute god to worship. Dead men can only serve dead idols. And everyone who trusts in these powerless, dead things will be just like what they worship—powerless and dead.
That’s why we put our trust in Jesus, because we are Your people. Because Jesus ALONE is our ONLY true hero, He is the ONE who came to show us who we are in You and to redeem us and to be our wraparound Savior who is our shield!
So we as Your saints, will solely put our trust in You. Jesus is our only true hero, Emmanuel God-wrapped-around-us and with us, as our shield. Yes, every lover of God who bows before You, will trust in the Lord. Because Jesus is our only true hero, God-wrapped-around-us as our shield.
You are our Lord and You will never forget us in our need; You will bless us and have blessed us indeed! You will bless the house of Israel; You will bless the house of Aaron, Your priest. Yes! You will bless Your devoted lovers who bow before You, no matter who they are. You, Yourself will fill us with more. Blessings upon blessings will be heaped upon us and upon our children from the Maker of heaven and earth, the very God who made us!!!!
The heavens belong to You Lord God; they are Yours alone, but the earth You have given to us and have given us the authority over it. Dead people cannot praise You, but we can! Those who sink to the silence of the grave can no longer give You glory, but we can! So therefore we will praise Your Name and let that praise go on forever and ever Hallelujah, praise the Lord!”
