CONFESSIONS
Now when some people might hear the word confession, depending on their upbringing or religion. They might relate it to reconciliation or penance, based off of Judeo-Christian tradition. With the basis of receiving being the acknowledgement of your sins in public or private in order to obtain divine forgiveness.
But In the book of Revelation it says that - And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony or confession. Revelation 12:11
We know that when in the wilderness Jesus overcame the devil by confessing the Word or proclaiming what He believed when those truths or beliefs were put to the test.
The Bible calls the Sword of the Spirit or the Sword that the Spirit wields, the Word of God. Ephesians 6:17
God gave Joshua the recipe for prosperity and instructions on how to be successful - This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. Joshua 1:8
The Bible also states that Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]. Proverbs 18:21
Jesus said the sower SOWS THE WORD! Mark 4:14
So what we say and the words that come out of our mouths are very important. Our words can bring us health, life and prosperity or sickness, poverty and even death. Life and death, the blessing and the curse, are in our control.
God has already decreed it and the law will remain as constant as the sun shines and as long as our natural bodies need oxygen to remain alive.
The choice is ALWAYS ours and it is one of many truths that are established, how do we know this?
Because the Bible (God’s Word) tells us so and God said His Word will not (therefore it can not) return unto Him void, it will accomplish everything it is sent to do and if that were not enough, the Bible also says, God esteems His Word above His name.
